A Panic Buyer In Town because of...

---COVID-19. You read it right that I need to be one for today. I didn't buy goods for the past few days because it's a weekly basis errand. Since the city's mayor had his final decision to have the 'community quarantine.' The locals need to secure their food for at least a month. It was a long waiting line for me to wait and successfully bought the things needed. As I step out of the supermarket, there are no local transportations available. I can't walk that far with these goods at hand. So I instructed my younger brother to get his motorbike and pick me up. That's my day today. How's life out there? Did you buy anything today?

May I just ask this - does the tissue paper have any connection to the virus?

It's not related at all. It's my mom's request to have a pack of it.

@Shavkat oh, okay, thanks. In the US and Australia, the toilet paper is experiencing a shortage. But they don't say why.

We did our shopping for the month this past Thursday. I hope you held onto the groceries tightly while being driven home on your brother's motorcycle, Shavkat! (I can just see you getting part way home and dropping most of the groceries, then scrambling to pick them all up and walking the rest of the way home! ) Please be careful and don't get sick. I wouldn't like knowing you're ill for any reason, my friend.

You shopped early. He needs to pick me up. If not, it would be forever to walk. Let's pray for what's happening right now.

@DaddyEvil We ride together. I'm the one carrying the box at the back and he carries the bag in front. It's quite challenging.

@Shavkat I do have another question that came to mind while reading our comments just now... He is your younger brother.... Is he able to pick you up? Especially when your arms are full of groceries? (I'm thinking I should be feeling sorry for your little brother! )

I got a few things I did not panic buy as I do not have money for to do so. I am glad you were able to get home by motorbike from your brother. I also do not have transportation but use the bus if I absolutely have to. They are thoroughly disinfect them every night here. One can smell the bleach they use.

@Shavkat It is not good here either. I went to lots of stores to get things done and also to the pet shop to get things for Sophie. It is getting harder and harder here. I bought these Monday and also today too.

Nope. Not me. I have not bought into this mass panic at all. BUT, if you are definitely going to be on lockdown for a month, best to have something and I would probably get some stuff as well.

Yes. A lot of people are panic buying, especially here in the Philippines. And transportation is very difficult because of the enhance quarantine that was implemented. I hope that what you bought is enough for the next new days or weeks. Keep safe.

It is good that you bought groceries today. Having enough supply means that you can stay at home peaceful and don't have to go out often. It is the best way so far.
