Should I let him be?

Four days from now is the boyfriend’s Birthday, and I’m still stuck here, waiting for that moment to have another cut. Then he kept mentioning his Birthday that it will their fiesta as well, meaning his parents will celebrate it double(his birthday and the fiesta).
I know what he really want, of course he wanted to celebrate his Birthday with his Family and relatives. But it makes me think that it would be too selfish if he will have fun while I’m here, or I’m selfish coz that means I would like him to stay with me.
Your thoughts pls.

My thoughts? With everything that is happening in the world right now, it's important that he spends time with other family members he loves who also love him. Don't be the one to issue an ultimatum; if he's going to be supportive of you it has to be because he wants to, not because he feels forced to. He is allowed to enjoy himself without being made to feel guilty for it. His mental health is important.
Ultimately, the decision is his.

It's not selfish for him to want to celebrate his day, or have fun, even if you're in the hospital. But he should think of you at the same time.
Just as you aren't selfish for wanting him to be with you. But you should want him to live his life, at the same time.

In my opinion, you should let him decide. In this case if he decides to stay with you, then you would realize how much he loves you. Because if you force him he might resent you for it. In any case it is important that someone will watch over you during this time. Is there another family member or friend that could take care of you during this time.

Perhaps he could stay with you and celebrate his birthday some other time when you are feeling better.
