Hoarding Cannabis instead of Toilet Paper

That is new to me. I have just seen this in the news. The people in Germany and other countries are hoarding toilet papers because of the coronavirus.
Some people in the Netherlands are standing in a long queue before the coffee shops to buy cannabis. I find it very funny. I mean, it didn´t come in my mind that people are worried that there will be no weed for them to smoke during the lock down.
Is cannabis legal in your country? It seems it is legal in the Netherlands for a minimum amount of use. I think the people who were queuing on that coffee shop also include Germans.

Weed is now legal in a few states here in the United States, including my current state of Illinois. I have not heard about any hoarding of this sort of thing yet. But because it was illegal for so long in so many states, many people know all too well how to grow their own. I think no one will be busting down the doors of the local weed shops any time soon. I could be wrong.

Here in Illinois weed is legal but you can only buy so much at a time unless you have a mj card then you can get more ..but this is very funny.

I think cannabis is also legal in Canada. With the toilet paper, I still cannot understand its connection to the corona virus.

It's legal in some American states. I recently went to the dispensary with a buddy and the lines (queues) were not too long. I'm not a big smoker, so what I got could last for months. I am currently wiping my butt with paper towel. I have enough to last a couple of months, so I'm not concerned.

There is enough cannibas here in this state I live to sink a battleship no shortage as of yet, but if there is I do not know what they are going to do

Perhaps they think that smoking a lot of weed will help fight the virus. Or they are afraid there will be a shortage and they wanna make sure they don't run out of their supply.

this is hilarious to me 
but if I smoked too I'd probably be right there with them. it's probably helping them destress during all this craziness so I don't blame for standing in line for it

Weed is not legal here, but many smoke it. I tried it once and I didn't enjoy it. But I am for legalizing it.
As for people who did this, I guess they just want to chill and not to worry about the corona virus.
