The Dreaded Walk to the Walgreens

With everything being said about this virus and with all the things written online I went to the Walgreens today. Nothing in my neighborhood had changed. The streets away from the main streets were empty as usual with shuttered houses and for sale signs. However, my mind was filled with a warning about this virus and I expected a huge green monster to step out from behind a palm tree with coronavirus written on his chest. Nothing like that happened. People were shopping at Walgreens, the toilet paper aisle was empty and the frozen food section had nothing to sell. Usually, near the cashiers people would stand one behind the other waiting their turn. Now they have a blue masking tape to mark where you have to stand to wait your turn. Other than that I returned home this time thinking that monster might be following me. It just shows what kind of imagination I have. In the photo is all I saw on the way

I´m glad you did not meet the monster. Still, it is a problem when a big supermarket is out of essentials.

Ah, I think many of us can relate to that! Here it is calmer than it was, but still the people are out and about. In the stores, there are lots of empty shelves. I discovered the tape marks now too. It did feel like someone like the boogie man was hovering around me and everyone else - and that he's not going to go away anytime soon.

I was actually glad that the streets were empty @much2say so I could get there and back in peace and the sunshine felt good

@RasmaSandra I would rather see the streets more empty here . . . that way we know everyone is doing their part. I'm glad your experience was pretty good .

Glad it was all either normal or with people behaving as they should. Did you get the supplies you wanted?

I got most of the stuff I wanted @JudyEv and since there was no toilet paper I was lucky to get a huge pack of napkins guess no one wanted those

They're not closed yet but they say only ten people in one area of the beach and to keep 6 feet from one another @CarolDM which is rather crazy but I will walk on over at the end of this new week and see what is happening.
