The isolation is getting to me - I made a cake!!

This social isolation must be getting to me. I think all my friends here know I don’t like cooking and my husband, Vince, does almost all of it. There are a few things I make and bake from time to time. However, today I made a banana walnut cake and it is pretty yummy, if I do say so myself. Mostly, I made it because I had three bananas in the freezer and they are a bad shape to pack with other stuff so now they’ve been made into a nice cake. I wonder what the next small miracle will be in our house.

I agree with that.. Because having enough time lingering around the house can cause great impact on improving our skills

Gracious, what I've seen on the news where people are doing so much to cheer, entertain during this time has been amazing.

I made the same 5 days ago, tomorrow morning we have the two last slices, for our morning coffee. I have no more bananas at home now.

@JudyEv I would like to ask to the volunteer to buy some, but I am picky with bananas, not too green, but still firm, be careful that was not touched to avoid black spots... he already bought the wrong flour.

We still have four bananas. If Vince doesn't eat them first, they'll become cake too.

And losing stocks at home is so frustrating. How about going to a market?

The isolation now gives a little more value to some things we had taken for granted for quite sometime, it's a wonderful cake.

That is a delicious banana cake. Now you reminded me that I still have frozen bananas in my freezer. I might bake a cake too. Have a nice Monday and enjoy your cake.

Not going to work is bothersome for me. I actually made pancakes one morning. Haven't done that in a dog's age. Out where we live the isolation is kind of one of those same old same old things.

A bit similar here as in living in isolation. For some reason, I still feel the need to make some sort of use of this extra free time that has been imposed on us.

@Jessicalynnt They don't keep that well but you can freeze them and use them for cakes or smoothies. It took two to get 3/4 cup of pulp.

@JudyEv Now that is a good way to sit out a drive. I have all his books if you want to borrow them. Talking to friends who cut short holiday to Australia to get back here. Booked with Emirates and were bumped up to first class! Toilet the size of a living room I’m told. and champagne all the what but they don’t drink! Just saying.

Is the world coming to an end? Has hell frozen over? Is the sky falling? Judy just wrote a post saying she cooked. Oh lord, it's a miracle! But I must admit, it does look pretty tasty!

@moffittjc He had several slices but he has been off sugar for so long that after only a small amount it makes him feel a bit nauseous. He said it wasn't the cake but..... Oh well, look on the bright side - all the more for me.
