Monthly Recap: March 2020

Hello myLot! I hope everyone is staying safe while the world is so chaotic right now. Time for my month in review post, it's been a weird emotional month for me on top of all the coronavirus issues. 01 Tyler and his friends all love cars and drifting. They each have these car simulators to practice on, we set up a few of them in one room. I can't really explain it but it was hilarious to watch them have such a good time. 03 I visited home to see my parents but the house was empty most of the day. Still, it was nice to be alone for a little bit. 06 My mom and I have friends across the state that we visit every year. I drove over to my parents, picked up my mom, and we headed West. It's always nice to see our friends, they're like a second family to me. 07 We went to the Strawberry Festival and watched our friend in a Battle of the Bands event. Everyone was so talented! 08 Our last day before heading back home. We had pizza and beer for lunch and spent most of the afternoon laughing. But the time came to drive back home. 10 Last month my aunt Gayle came to visit, and today was the day she left to go back home. 10 Oof, this night was rough. Tyler broke my heart, I'm still reeling from it. I can't talk about it in detail but what he did hurt. We're trying to move past it. 11 Tyler and I had a big talk and I honestly learned a lot about him. Later that night I went to dinner with Tyler and a few friends. 12 I got a small cold. It's NOT the virus, don't worry 13 I was laid off of work because of Coronavirus scares. The world feels like it's been cancelled. Everything is shut down and everyone is keeping to themselves. I hope everyone else has been staying safe. 14 Last month I volunteered at the fair. The woman I helped held a small party for everyone who helped her. Wow, what a giant feast! There was meatloaf, veggies, dinner rolls, pies, cookies, everything! It was nice to see everyone from the fair again, we enjoyed food, drinks, and each other's company. 16 I won at bingo again! I was on a losing streak for a few weeks, finally I won some cash back. 17 I visited home again and my dad and I went out for lunch. It's always nice to catch up with him. 17 Later that night, Tyler helped me fix my internet. I haven't been able to connect to the internet on that old computer for about a year, but FINALLY we figured it out. We played VR Chat together afterwards. 19 Had lunch with dad again, and invited my grandma to join us. However at this point all the restaurants are only doing take out and delivery. 23 My friend Matt came to visit and he helped someone fix their motorcycle. It was nice to see him, I hadn't seen him since New Year's Eve. 27 We went to a car meet! We haven't been to one in months and I honestly missed going to them. It started off in one area of town, then we made a huge convoy to an old parking lot where everyone showed off their driving skills. It was a hoot. 28 Tyler went with me to visit my parents. My dad cooked us all breakfast and it was just nice to be together. 29 Since everyone is staying inside, we've been playing a few video games to keep us busy. We played the Sims and made the situations hilarious. We then went to the taco truck for lunch. I'm just happy they're still open because the food is great and cheap. 29 We cooked burgers as our dinner date and played an old PS2 game called Katamari. 30 I don't remember what we were laughing about, but Tyler and I were on the floor laughing out heads off. I'm trying not to feel so heartbroken after earlier this month, and it felt good laughing like crazy with him. 31 I woke up with a major migraine, which is never fun. We also played a new game called Superliminal. If you like optical illusion you would love this video game, it was a WILD RIDE. Well, that's my month, weird as it was. Self isolating like this is driving me a little cuckoo but being with friends and family you love helps make it all better. How was your March? Do anything exciting?

Hi Brenna, good to hear from you again! You had a very busy March! It looks like you were a little late to the game on social distancing, but I hope you are practicing it now, and staying away from other people as much as you can! Do you and Tyler live together? If not, the social distancing should include him also. I know it sucks, but it's for the good of society. I'm really sorry that you have been laid off from work. Are you going to be okay financially?

@isweartokira Ummm.....Florida declared a statewide lockdown last Friday. You should not be going out of your home for any reason, unless it is for an essential service (to buy food or medicine). Home Depot has been listed by the government as an essential service, so the stores have to stay open. And since every other business is shut down except for grocery stores and restaurants, people are flocking to Home Depot to shop for whatever they can get their hands on. With everyone being in lockdown, there are a lot of DIY home projects being done by people right now, so they are flocking to the stores to buy supplies. We've been crazy busy, although we have to have security posted at the front to only let in one person at a time to enforce social distancing guidelines.

That's good you were still able to do all that with the lockdown in place. I've been pretty much isolated from the world except for voting yesterday.

You did have an eventful March. I don't think we did anything special. We went into social isolation early in the month so that put a stop to any socialising.

You certainly had an eventful month of March. Our last good going out times were March 14th and 15th to celebrate my brother’s birthday. I decided it was getting eerie out there then.
