Sliced papaya for a refreshing snack

If you had read my post where I harvested a papaya from the tree of our neighbor, let me share the picture of that papaya. After slicing, I put in evaporated milk, added sugar and also fresh lemon drops. After placing it in the freezer for 15 minutes, it was so nice to eat the ripe papaya that I made for my snack.

It sounds delicious. I have not eaten papaya with evaporated milk and sugar. My family in the Philippines harvested the ripe papayas from the papaya tree that I have planted last year. They sent me the papaya photo.

That's nice of you to plant something when you were here. Now they are harvesting the fruits.

It grows only in tropical countries and has a short shelf life so it cannot be exported to other countries.

I love papaya but we never put anything with it we just slice it and eat it. We can buy it here from the supermarkets and they are pretty good. I bet they taste so much better straight from the tree !

You are right when the fruits get ripe while on the tree. But it is not good since the insects and birds would get ahead of you.
