$600 is on the way and more than half is going to blow it anyway

On the first $600 dollars of the government grants been given to all of us will be expected on tomorrow morning or 12am dawn.
So in my whatsapp group, people were already commenting on what they will want to spend on.
There are 10 people in the group.
2 said that they want to spend in on escorts.
Another 2 is going to spend it on wine and whiskey
1 is going to loop it into her branded bag budget
1 is going to spend it on Holiday and staycation
1 is going to spend it on a playstation
2 is going to save it for emergency funding
1 (me) is going to pay tax with it.
From here, you can tell that none of us are spending the money on food and other necessities. 30% using it on a really meaningful way, the rest of the 70% is going to blow it on vices one way or another.
How are you going to spend the money that the government is going to give it to you?

@id_peace I'm considering a new fitness tracker. One that works the way it should. It will be more expensive than the cheap one I have. I'm also considering new clothes since I'm going to need new soon with the weight I'm losing.

@id_peace That's a hard thing... some people don't welcome advice . If anything I would think you could frame it by telling them what you're doing and why.

Our Government isn't going to give us anything because it's running by Very high profile criminals which are asking money from us as donation and some idiots still think that they are the best Pm

I've just had a tax refund. I can't cash the cheque because the banks in my town are all closed. Once I am able to cash it, it will go into savings. As I spent our savings on things I wanted last year, we're now saving for something that my husband wants - with the tax refund, we've pretty much got enough for the computer he wants. If he waits until the end of the year, we might have saved enough for a better one!

@id_peace A laptop wouldn't be much good for my husband. He wants a good gaming pc that he can use for graphic design.

They should use it for essentials since you'll never know what will happen next.

Here in the US, we'll be getting some money. Since I lost my job, we're paying off a bill so it's out of my budget. Then finish paying off this month's utilities and our up half of next month's rent. Then we'll go to the grocery store and stick up on meats and vegetables.

@id_peace it did :) it feels good to know another bill is paid off. Utilities are caught up till next month. Stocked up on more meats. Even got the oil changed in the truck and filled up the gas tank. Dogs even got more food.

I think a financial crisis much worst than the one we experienced last 07-08 is looming on the horizon so I would go with using it for emergency funding. I'm living on my emergency funds right now that I built up for years so it needs to be replenished.
