Although these little beauties don't belong to me I'm fortunate enough to be able to see a bluebell wood just across the meadow from the bottom of my garden.
This beautiful little flower is native to the UK and is usually found in ancient woodland. Although much of our woodland is disappearing this little tiny bunch of trees has, so far, been left well alone. Thankfully it's owned by a local farmer who's keen to ensure that our wildlife - both fauna and flora - can secure.

I love looking at Bluebells and make the most of them when I see them because they are only at their best for a few weeks of the year. They also tell us that it is now springtime which is my personal favourite season of the year.

We have a native British wood on the other side of our village and it's always packed with snowdrops. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get out and take photos of those ... maybe next year.
