Absent today

Yeah, that is right. I have been absent. I had muscle spasms in my back and took a muscle relaxer. When I do that, I sleep a lot. I am supposed to be able to take three a day. For me, if I take one I am kind of out of it for three days. But the sleep was good. Our meals were left overs, so they are almost all gone now, that is good. We got our stimulus money. We made the appointment for Tinker to get neutered and get all of his shots. Mickey just needs shots. He has an appointment too. I have just a few online things to do. I did try to come here earlier but the glitch would not let me in and I was too sleepy to try too hard. I am trying to plan interesting meals. I think we will be having chicken fajitas tomorrow. I bought a variety of peppers when I shopped. Poblanos and some little sweet peppers. I just need to cut up the chicken and marinate it. I am trying to have lots of flavor in my home cooked meals.

Yes, it happens and it hurts. My doctor has a prescription that I keep on hand but I try not to use it very often.

My friends who live below me asked me to put a pork roast in my slow cooker tomorrow that will keep all of us in some meals over the weekend. I do cooking for everyone now and then especially when they can get meat and chicken on Wednesdays at the pantry.

I do not think to make fajitas, but I have all these peppers to use up. We are missing eating out at Mexican restaurants, too. Pain is pretty well gone today and I am going to be active. It helps.

Its hard about Vets these days. They're in emergency mode in my part of the world so I feel guilty bugging them unless my fur person has a true issue that can't wait. Muscle relaxers are something else. I refused to take them for my neck cause they mess with my mind too much- I can't lay around and be a zombie with my ark needing me.

Our vets have time. We seem to have three in the next town over. I am trying to help them stay in business. I cannot take the muscle relaxers when I need to work. Even online. Yesterday was really clear as far as work goes and so was today, so I took a chance. Yes, your beasties need you.

@sallypup I had a young kitty that would cough and sneeze. I sort of chalked it up to allergies. Then one day he coughed up a huge tapeworm. First one I ever had seen. I had seen the other kinds of worms. I give my kitties an occasional dose of diatomaceous earth because I have seen worms in their litter tray in their feces.

@GardenGerty I have access to several Vets. They are working longer hours but are emphasizing that things that are not emergencies must wait for another time. My young Fred cat coughs and coughs. He looks so healthy, he eats and drinks AND he has non productive coughs many times a day. Worries me.

@GardenGerty I suppose. We don't need ours, right now anyways, as we were able to pay everything up to date with taxes. So both stimulus' are saved in another bank to not touch unless needed.

I have some chicken in the freezer here, but too lazy to dig it out. Guess the day I use it, would be the day I have to prepare myself to go grocery shopping. (That is why I am reluctant .)

Sitting too still in the cold is just not good for me, and I know it, but I did it anyway.

Feel better soon! I made the mistake of injuring my rib cartilage a month ago and it's much better but occasionally that area feels like it's cramping, so I feel for you!

Owie. How did you injure your rib cage? I know I will feel better if I just get more gentle movement and get off this computer chair. For me getting more outside time will help me do better.

We have two small dishes of leftovers for noon today, Saturday. I have the chicken marinating for fajitas, and I just put an apple cake in the oven.

I did not grow any of this in my yard, but you are right, what I do grow when the weather is warm is organic.
