Update On Old Lefty

Lefty is still alive. I cannot promise for how much longer though. He will still eat an egg whenever he gets the chance. He knows now that when I call his name that he is in trouble and that I'm on my way and that is the warning that he better get off the platform for the nest boxes. If he doesn't get down, I start counting...1, 2, 3 with a bang. I clap my hands if still walking to the coop or if I'm inside the coop I slam my hand down on the ledge of the nest boxes. IF he is still up there, I grab him by the neck and throw him off. This little exercise along with the ceramic eggs inside the nest boxes have deterred him, but not enough. I am getting half the eggs I should be for the number of hens in there now which is better than just 2-3 a day. I'm trying to be patient with the boy, but I'm tired of playing the game.
