I just peeped in yesterday because I came to know of @justbhem 's untimely passing away. I was tempted to look in again. I hope you are all doing well.
I just wanted to share a little bit of sun shine from my side of the world. There is too much doom and gloom out there so i guess we can use a bit of cheer and sunshine here.
Are you trying new recipes in the lock down? Are you enjoying being at home?
To speak the truth I am trying to make the best of what I have and enjoy this time we have together as a family.
I am watching the birds and bees which are happy without our interference.
Stay home stay safe and save lives.

I was one of those who wondered where was Bhem. But i simply did not post a discussion about it thinking she might be just taking a break. I know some of you...

Yes, we are all saddened with Bhem's untimely passing. I don't have much time to cook these days because of work.

Fortunately, I had a bunch of store points to use up before the end of March, and I bought a small toaster/convection oven. Before that I didn't have an oven. So now I am baking cookies. It sure tastes good but not so great for the figure. My favorite recipes are simple. 1 cup sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 egg, make great cookies! I throw in some dried fruit for variety.

I am one that is still needed at my job since I'm a cashier at a grocery store. I don't have extra time to make newer recipes at present but if I ever get my bookkeeping and the rest of our claims in I may get our take that chance.
It's good to see you again. I was concerned when I've looked for you and saw you weren't here since last year.

@MarshaMusselman Congrats on your new grandson. Glad you can help in whatever way you can. It is tough to look after infants I agree.

@sofssu it's good that we can still work because my bills are getting paid but it also means that I can't see or hold my grandson who is three weeks old today.
I feel that I would need to be off work too weeks first just to be sure. And that would be even after the virus lockdown is lifted. If she needs my help once she returns to work I'm not sure that I'll be able to help at least until the baby is much older.

Yes, so sad about our Bhem. I feel safest at home and I'm glad the family is at home together right now. Even though we know what's going on with this world, I like to think this time is also a "gift" to us . . . to embrace family time and do all the things we neglected to do when we were all too busy with life. Hoping you are staying safe and well where you are.
