Do you wear your nails short?

I do. Why? Whenever I do household chores, I accidentally scratch myself and that gives bruises.
I have a jolly friend who always greets me but I avoid getting close to her because she is a clumsy lady who loves to hug and she several times almost blinded me because of her soo long nails, very very long nails.
I got bruises if not wounds whenever I do this friendly gestures or what. She is a likable person, but her nails are so scary and told her that already.
am just.wondering how can she do chores without getting hurt. As far as I know, bacteria stay in those nails so they better be cut short.

Well as a guy, I always keep my nail short. And since I do sports and some labor, it will be hazardous to have long nail.

yes, my nails are either short or just a little bit over tips of the finger, because they break easily when they're longer.

I always wear it trimmed, I'm afraid it would get caught into something it's very painful.

I prefer short nails, I accidentally scratches myself every time I try to keep longer nails...
So finally I gave up this fancy of having long nails

I have brittle nails, if it get long it'll usually break on its own so I have to cut it short.
