I have been given my walking orders

Tinker says I am up too late.
Every night he sits here, watches me. Maybe gets in my lap and generally pesters until I go to the bedroom.
Once I am there, he makes sure I get in bed, under covers. Then he gives me a kitty massage. Maybe lays on my legs to make me be still. Then he leaves.
In my old age I guess I need a kitty parent.

If I lay down, even on the sofa, Tinker wants me to go to sleep. Other than that, they only want my lap if I am on the computer. Our routine is that when I bring them in for the last time in the evening, then they get fed. No more outside after that. I hope I can get them to adapt to that. Ha!

How sweet of Tinker to know what you like ! I am not sure if "be given your walking orders " means giving you the sack.

From a job it would mean being fired or "given the sack". In my case Tinker told me it was time to get off the computer and go to bed.

He is pretty warm and fuzzy. Kind of like a weighted blanket.

@GardenGerty Some cats can get very heavy, especially on your feet.

Tinker sounds lovely. I plan on having pets when I retire ...whenever that will be. Always had them when I was younger but we are both out at work all day so thought it not too fair on them.

Cats are easier than dogs, but even when I am working my husband is home most of the time now. Right now I am mostly working from home.

I miss having a cat of my own. There is a cat here, but she's more like a stepcat and has never really warmed up to me.

Princess, my former cat, was really attached to my husband, until in her older age she began to fuss over me a bit. Tinker was found abandoned as a very tiny kitten and bottle raised by the lady who found him, so he is more bonded to me.
