I'm sure that most of you know I work in the local hospital here in Plymouth and for the past 6 weeks, my ward been Covid-19 Red Zone. During the time it's been red zone, it's been hard, hard-working all the PPE and hard seeing all the death's but there have been bright sides, people making it through the virus and going home. Earlier this afternoon the ward went to Amber, step down from Red meaning only having patients who are recovering and getting ready for going home. It seems to be a step in the right direction YAY. I know that lockdown, social distancing, nothing being normal is hard but this is the new normal for now until we get to know more about convid and have a vaccine for the virus. The photo was taken today in the staff room on break Stay safe, stay health!!

You haven't written a post since this one which was along time ago. I hope you are doing okay. I will look to see if you have been active here and just not written any new posts.

Every evening at 7pm the neighbourhood comes to life here. People step outside of their homes and bang their pots and pans, children tap spoons together, all in thanks for our frontline workers. I hope that you know that those of us who are not in the medical profession, thank you and wish you continued strength to see this thru.

This is the best news of the day. If things are going on the right direction I am really glad. I continue to follow the guidelines, I wear my mask, I keep the distance.

At least that is a start - going from red to amber. I'm sure it's been really stressful. Stay safe.

Yay to that! I salute all of you hardworking healthworkers. Donning those PPEs and wearing them all day ain't fun. Not to mention the deaths you have to witness. But you're all there fighting for humanity. I'm glad amber is now the color of your zone.
