Busy busy life in lockdown...

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's a bright pleasant Thursday morning. I am done with morning chores and my exercise. I did yoga with my husband and my zoom exercise session with children. I sweated well. Now time to relax a bit before I head to shower. Thought of posting this discussion as I sit and relax.. Lockdown has confined us to our homes. But to keep myself productive and well used, I have planned the day well. April and May here in Bangalore is the time for summer vacation. In a regular summer vacation, we travel in April and come back to Bangalore by mid of May. I always keep a two weeks summer camp in end of May before school opens in June. But this year school closed two weeks earlier for summer vacation due to virus crisis and all holiday plans for everyone got cancelled. Children too are stucked in home. So this year I started one summer camp in April for 21 days over zoom and Google Duo. Today is the 21st day and it will end today. I will start the second camp from Monday after taking a break for three days. That will be for two weeks. My summer camp was joined by five students. We had 45 minutes of morning session of exercise. And then a session in afternoon from 3:30_4:30 that has some activities. This helped these children stay productive in lockdown. And since they are all special needs children, parents found it good for them to stay engaged in a routine. Other than that I have two regular students of grade 7 for enriching their Maths skill. I take their class from 12_1 in afternoon. I have joined a Gita session with my daughter and that takes place everyday at 5:30 in evening for 15 minutes. We learn two shlokas with meaning in a day. Now that we have covered 40 shlokas we decided to take a break and revise them for a week. Next class will resume from second week of May. So there is a lot at hand to keep me busy besides chores and cooking. That gives me less free time to be here. Now that I have three days of break, I will try to be more here. I also need to plan and prepare for next summer camp. How is everyone busy in this lockdown??

Hope you are having a good time. Yes I am not going out to work as schools are closed but busy at home. I am sure you must be busy with chores and kitchen work. That has definitely increased as maids are not there and we have more cooking to do.

I try to keep up with my backlog of projects and things to do. It's hard when you need to prep meals and keep house at the same time.

I know it becomes too tough and staying at home calls for more cleaning and cooking chores. My daughters do help me with few of them so that I can do some of these things that I love to do.

@LadyDuck Whenever I face that issue, I log out and log in again. It works out. But some days it is really bad. Though I have luckily not got that bad day in long time. i have experienced it earlier and it is really frustrating.

Hello, you know what i kinda noticed myself that there are more work in a lockdown than going out. Everywhere you look at the four corners of your home, you find something to do. Sometimes there is too much work that you get bored ..hahahha.... that's because you don't know where to start.

@Softncuddly Going out for relaxation is not worth the danger it brings. So I would find ways to relax indoors. I step out only if it is absolute necessity.

HaHa....I have said the same thing to few people here in response. Once you are in home, you tend to notice more things that need your care and there is always some chores calling your attention. I am surprised that people are getting bored as they have so much of free time and are not sure of how to use it.

You are so right Dianne. You just have to look around and there are so many things that need to be done in house. I wonder when people complain about getting bored in lockdown or having to think about how to spend their free time. I am not finding any free time. I am having enough to do or even more than what I can finish in a day.
