I received a notification and it is indicated that it is from PayPal. When I checked the details, I can pinpoint that there's something wrong with the wordings and world spelling. The conclusion is that the sender is phishing innocent people again. The course of action is to tag in the spam folder. This is the second time that I received this. It almost hacked my PayPal account from scammer's first attempt. Did you receive any messages like this in your email? Has someone scammed you before, either online or offline?

The very first thing that tells me that this is a phishing scam is that it begins "Dear Customer". Genuine emails from PayPal NEVER do this. They ALWAYS address you by name. You really don't need to look any further than this before deleting the message (or hitting the "Report as Spam" button in your email client's page). If you wish, you can forward the email to PayPal's spam reporting system before deleting it but they will very likely already have a record of the spammer, so I never bother.

I agree with the salutation of this scammer. Most legit companies use the name of their customers. I didn't know that it is possible to report this. I do that to let PayPal knows about this concern. Thank you.

@Shavkat No it is not easy to determine who is scammer and who is not. I am aware so many people have been scammed even qualified people like tech experts have fallen prey to these scammers. They come out with engineous ways to dupe somebody.

@msdivkar Hackers are mutant now. They can do things that are so impossible. Scammers can be related to them. One thing for sure, they are evil people.

I honestly say that I was a victim of this kind of scammer before. But it is through mobile banking online.
