COVID 19 Parents vs Children, Husband's vs Wives

The world has been a busy place for many of us to the point that relationships have been neglected either knowingly or unknowningly
However, in this tragic circumstance that we have found ourselves in it is now unavoidable to evede talking and seeing each other. Why not take this opportunity and fix that relationship with your daughter, son, hubby, wife, boyfriend or anyone you are locked down with. If you have nothing to fix well lucky for. ..
Am spending more time with my boys now than ever before and I will strengthen my bond even more with them though with fights over which TV channel to watch as family lol but we are getting by
How are you managing your relationshis during this time, of COVID 19?

Thanks Cher.
That's so nice of you not so many children get to spend a lot of time with their parents due to diverse circumstances. Both you and your kids have achieved a blessing in you having made that choice of working from home.
If I may ask, how do you manage the kids energy while working from home though?

@Helikaputo I work at night while they are sleeping. It's best to do it that way.

That is the ideal. The pandemic lock down is an opportunity for the family to bond.
However, that is not the case for many. It seems that the pandemic has caused more mental and physical problems.

Hello Kokil.
Enjoying the time spent together must be the ultimate go to for everyone.
I see a lot of kids especially teens who are not in great relationships with there parents for one thing or the other.
How would you suggest this time being spent at home should be turned into enjoyable moments?

Michael It's indeed Love that does the magic of binding family together as you have put it. But how busy schedules and the pressure of adulthood many times finds a way of keeping parents away from their children.
How do strike that balance of managing family? Do you think the time most people are spending at home due to the Lockdown could improve the family bonds as people will spend more time together?

@Helikaputo no matter how busy a person is you can still have time for your family even if its just 30min a day talk to your kids your wife hug them. Its sad to see people have more time for their phones, social media than their families no offense meant

@ekihm25 true that. And unfortunately it has become a sad reality for many people .
Even in homes would find a family in the same house busy on assorted gadgets father watching football, teens on social media and mother chatting on laptop..
It's a crazy environment we are creating for our future .

When I first heard about the pandemic, I was apprehensive. I realised that I was doing the very thing I advised others against..... watching news of the pandemic for hours.
I resorted to texting my family members and my colleagues. I then realised that it was an opportunity to offer spiritual support through giving them verses on faith and forgiving. I felt better for not entertaining negative thoughts.

It is so nice indeed Lazy. I hope aside from the bad side of the lockdowns a kid out there will have that moment they have been longing for of being with a parent at home.
My two kids are indeed a handful and am enjoying being around with them and they are having fun..
How is it going for you?

Lakshman that is very true. Like it is said each coin has two sides. So are the lockdowns, apart from the misery they have brought on each a lot of free time has been created for people to be together and reflection.
It can be used as a moment to either mend or crash the relationships.
