It is a local variety called laal kela . Very common in South. We get them sometimes.

It is very sweet and that's why some might not like it. But it is quite healthy. Very common in South India.

@Kathze this red bananas not grow in other condition only specific people only cultivated those in specific areas only..
Its cultivation price also very high so it cont possible to available like normal bananas..

It's very common in South and we often bring it. It is sweeter and my daughters do not like it so sweet. But I am okay with it.

Yes it's taste is very different.. Hard to eat too.. Kids dot like that's much but kid live it and finish one banana her own.. I am so happy.

Some of our red bananas have seeds, I had eaten wild red bananas in the jungles that monkeys eat, these variety have plenty of seeds, I think it's called " butuan" in some parts of our country
