What makes you skip a discussion?

I respond to almost discussions. But when it comes to politics, I simply move to the next one. Sometimes I encounter vague discussion, so I also skip it. Though we are free to write down our thoughts here, as long as it does not violate the rules here, for sure, you have favorite topics. Food, weather and day-to-day life are some of my favorites here. Fun discussions are also cool. What about you? What makes you skip a discussion?

Like you mentioned, vague discussions, are pretty skippable to me. Two lines aren't much I can do with. I like discussions about reading, watching TV or movies, or just random, fun ones.

@AmbiePam I don’t like short posts either. Ones that are only a few lines and say almost the same thing every day bore me.

It depends so much. In a way politics is part of everything, so it depends how things are being discussed. I skip anything that is leading to an argument. I am a non believer, so I skip a lot of obviously religious posts. I enjoy food and weather and daily life posts. But if I already talked about food a few times, I will skip the rest of the food posts. I do skip very short posts often. But some very short posts can spark a conversation, so I will join in. I skip almost every single post about how much one makes on myLot. I will even take the day off that we get paid so as to not see all those posts But, having said that I do comment occasionally on those posts too.

@Janet357 repeatedly complaining about family is tedious and I don't really know what to say. If I complain about family, hopefully I get across that I am doing it in fun.

well said but the earning stuff you said amused me. yes, some really write about it. I dont mind though. but politics, never. I dont like hearing so many problems about family i meant writing repeatedly about it is kinda depressing. Hope you have a great day ahead and thank you for the comment.

Politics (though I do occasionally respond) Poems (I don't find them to add much value, and I am not sure what to say) But mostly everything else I will respond to. There are some people I will not comment / respond with.

I don't have one thing that I skip, I guess it just depends on if it catches my attention at the time or if I have nothing to say about something then I just skip on to the next.

If a discussion is too long, I usually look for a different one. Political matters, I avoid those, also. If a member gets mad and flies off the handle for some reason, I try to pull away, into the background. I don't like conflict, fighting, arguing, or anger for the most part. Day to day lives, I love to hear what all our friends are up to:)

It depends on what post. I don´t like to read when the post has no paragraphs as it makes my eyes painful in reading. So, I skip it.
