A day away from home

We went to Perth yesterday to see a friend who is very sick. We were able to get passes to allow us to travel between geographical zones. The restriction will be lifted on Monday but we needed to go yesterday. It was our first time going anywhere other than to shops or the doctor.
It was a strange day with a lot of waiting around till it was convenient to visit our friend. We then drove to the north of the city to see my sister who was in another hospital. She was only allowed one visitor at a time so we didn’t say long with her.
Other good friends were very insistent that we should stay the night with them so we wouldn’t be driving home in the dark. We really appreciated their offer and had an enjoyable evening with them.
We filled up with diesel on our way home. We haven’t filled the car since late March which is an indicator of how little it’s been used lately.
I also saw a ‘drive safely’ sign which intrigued me. It was of a driver yawning and the caption said ‘Don’t ignore the yawning signs’.

Hopefully all is well. This corona has banned people to go anywhere so we save much for the gas

My friend has pancreatic cancer and she isn't expected to live much longer. My sister is thought to have bowel cancer and is in hospital undergoing tests. Thanks for asking.
