The UK movie “Trespass Against Us” is more character study than action picture. Brendan Gleeson and Michael Fassbender star as father and son of an extended crime family who are akin to red neck trailer park criminals. They live in caravans and sit around bonfires at night. Chad (Fassbender) is illiterate but an ace getaway driver. He wants his children to be educated sending them to school and desperately wants to break from his domineering father. Chad wants to get a house and have some semblance of real life.
However, the old man engineers a job targeting a lord judge bringing down the wrath of the police. Chad is just too weak to stand up to his father who merely uses him. He is also stubborn which has to account for dumb illogical moves he makes. Either that or poor script writing. Not great but good enough to hold interest with two major actors and solid supporting cast.
“A Moving Romance” is an UP Channel imitation Hallmark movie. She is an interior designer fired from her New York job for lack of heart in her work. She retreats upstate to her father’s moving company not knowing the business is in trouble or that widowed father now has a girlfriend. Naturally there is the young male manager. The rest is formula. The business is saved and everyone pursues their dream.

I watched the wheels on the laundry spin round and round. Pretty boring show, but I’ll probably watch it again next Thursday.

Had to watch some Alaskan show which was about this guy who is setting up his tent for winter survival and going around picking up firewood and shooting an elk (?). I would have rather watched Cash Cab.
