Our lunch for today is prawns

In the picture is our dining table with the simple lunch of steamed rice and prawns cooked in coconut milk. The dip is lemon with shrimp paste. We are lucky to have seen the prawns in the market in the early morning that we were able to buy 2 kilos. It was a good lunch for a change.

I love prawns especially " camaron rebusado " but I'm sort of controlling and limiting my consumption of it now, mostly just for taste in " sinigang" ( sour stew )

@Alexandoy it's very easy, marinate the prawns in calamansi first. Make the batter, usually its just eggs, flour, corn starch, salt, a little evap milk mixed together, dip the shelled prawn in the batter leaving the tail so you can hold it there then deep fry. That's the basic, all you need to do is search exact measurements on the net since you don't want to open links.

@louievill we don't like fried prawns. We prefer the juicy kind.

@porwest cocktail sauce for the dip? Our dip is lemon with shrimp paste only. But sometimes we have lemon butter.
