I Do Not Have a Vegetable Garden Anymore

I used to have a vegetable garden, but do have a few herbs.
Just now, I took my garden shears outdoors and snipped chives. I washed them thoroughly, dried them in a paper towel, and snipped them.
Tonight we are grilling ribeye steaks that we ordered from Omaha Steaks, restaurant sized baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, and my chives, and roasted brussel sprouts in olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, Parmesan cheese, and honey.
I know. I know. But we walked an extra 4+ miles with our son this afternoon. I’m not counting calories!
What’s cooking at your place?

It's nice to have a vegetable garden but it is not easy to tend it every day.

@DianneN oh, yes, I remember that you have 2 homes, one in the south and one in the cold north.

I wish I had vegetable garden but that’s impossible when you live in a big city
It's late here now, I'm planning a fish with vegetables for tomorrow

It is so nice to have a vegetable garden. You can grow new vegetables again after you harvest the old ones.

I couldn't eat another bite, had a huge porkchop for lunch with trimmings of course. Then my son and son in law took me out for ice cream. That baked potato with homegrown chives sounds delish though. Someone gave me a bulb of wild garlic the other day, I was tickled pink with that.

The water that flowed from our neighbor's gutter due to a heavy downpour splashed away some of our plants. We ended up harvesting the damaged one, lol it was not enough for 2 servings of leafy salad.

@DianneN yes the kankong plant (asian spinach) is not due for harvest yet it needs another more week but they were splashed away.

It's good for you. You walk with your son. It's okay if you can't monitor your calories burned as long as you take a mile walk.

@DianneN one hour is enough. 6 hours are too much unless you take rest once in awhile
