Have you ever done a histeroscopy?

Today I went to the doctor, the gynecologist, everything seems to be well but she told me that I may have a very small polyp in the womb, nothing special according to her, but she recommended me to do a histeroscopy. I will do it next month with her in the hospital. She told me that it can be painful but tolerable but I confess that I am scared. I was so nervous that I forgot to ask if it is a quick exam
Have you ever done a histeroscopy? Is it painful?

I am sorry, I have not ever done a histeroscopy but I do think that it would be relatively quick. If the polyp is benign, you may want to ask her about alternative methods such as a castor oil pack instead of any invasive surgeries.

@nela13 You soak a thin cloth in the castor oil and place it on your womb. It is supposed to soak into the skin and help shrink the polyp. I've read a lot about it and it is supposed to be very helpful if done regularly.
There are also herbal teas and diet changes you can make which may improve it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I think castor oil works for skin polyps.
I have no idea about which herbal tea to use.

she said that it seems to be a very small thing and all my exams are normal.

I need to confirm if I really need to do this exam first, maybe I will see another doctor to have a second opinion.

I had to check on the internet what it is, it is completely unknown to me. Don't be afraid, those names just sound so scary, call her and ask how long this intervention lasts and if it hurts, you'll feel better when you know

@LowRiderX I don't know, I just want to make sure that I am not doing a procedure without needing it.
