UPDATE: Vaccine for COVID-19

This morning, my mom was listening to the local news on TV. I can hear that the Department of Health (DOH) representative announcing the possible vaccine for COVID-19. This is not for free. However, it is targeting vulnerable groups, such as senior citizens. Moreover, it is also reported the New York City is still the epicenter of this virus.
Most local stocks gained in thin trading on Tuesday as global markets cheered a promising coronavirus vaccine being developed by an American biotech firm alongside the US central bank’s commitment

If the virus is artificial, then the vaccine already exists On the other hand, if it is not, experts claim that it takes 1.5-2 years to make a vaccine, and if it appears earlier, then it is something completely different.

That is also my concern. The experts need to have more guinea pigs to be tested. Moreover, humans can be their guinea pigs.

How many times in the past 40 years have you hard that "we are ready to produce a vaccine for HIV"???? There is one??? NO!!! I will believe when I see that it is here and it works.

I've heard they have a vaccine that hasn't been tested on humans yet. but I won't be surprised if they begin using it but Unless it's a reasonable price many people cannot afford it. I think pharmaceutical companies should be required to sell it for a reasonable price.

I agree. I also heard so many news that they are still in a trial-and-error with these vaccines. I hope that it will be affordable for people to have.

@Shavkat I hope so. We have so many medicines now that are unaffortable. I hope the pharmaceutical companies are not allowed to push prices up for the virus vaccines.

Yes its true, I have also came across such news. Moderna vaccine phase 1 trials have shown promising results and is successful in producing the protective antibodies. Hope that it gets success and very soon we all get a vaccine.
