After the mayhem caused by Covid-19 throughout the country, it is now turn of Cyclone Amphan. It caused devastation in eastern India and Bangladesh on Wednesday, killing at least 15 people as it lashed coastal areas with ferocious wind and rain, prompting the Chief Minister to say that the catastrophe was much bigger than Covid-19. The city of Kolkata in the city of West Bengal was the one most affected. Many of Kolkata's 14 million people are without electricity and communications have been disrupted. The people of Kolkata are now torn between the Devil (Coronavirus) and the deep sea (Amphan).

I read just recently about how human activity is increasing the severity and frequency of tropical storms. It’s so terrible how human activity causes so many problems

This is awful:
One of India's major cities is reeling as more than 80 deaths are confirmed along the Bengal coast.
