Maybe it’s a blue moon

Vince played a game of golf with his friends this morning. They have been meeting once a week for some years but not, of course, while the pandemic has been raging. After their game, they have coffee and share bowls of potato chips.
Quite often, Vince will do a bit of shopping on his way home, picking up bread and milk perhaps if we need it. Today though, he got carried away and brought me home a beautiful bunch of flowers.
When he worked in the city, I would often get flowers on a Friday evening. It was always appreciated but never expected. We were good friends with our neighbours and after some months, the husband started bringing home flowers for his wife too.
I hope this doesn’t mean he wants to buy a new camera!

@JudyEv There is no shame in bringing home flowers. Kinda like the 'real men wear pink too' movement. Judgey people will judge, so be happy and you do you.

That's so sweet of Vince, despite any hidden motives.
Hubs buys me flowers every week in Florida, and two bunches for our house in Connecticut. However, he hasn't been out, so no flowers since we've been home.
And no, he's NOT getting a boat.

what a sweet hubby you have. I always preferred not flowers though. I like them but when they die they always get quite messy cleaning up each day and the sadness of watching them die too. a potted one is better. You can plant that

Very sweet of him. And maybe no ulterior motive.

Your flowers are really pretty and a cheerful addition to your room. Vince is sly if he thinks flowers will get him a new camera

That is a good bunch of flowers, and a great gesture indeed!
And nice memories of the Friday evening flowers!

My mom loved cut flowers in the house and made it a habit of getting some from the garden or shops at least once a week. Me, on the other hand, do NOT like cut flowers at all. I prefer a potted plant in my home. To me cutting flowers is killing them - eeeeeek just my weirdness
