Advice for my brother

I have a younger brother. He's 22 years old. My family is getting frustrated with him because he has never had a job EVER, and he doesn't want to finish school. He dropped out of high school in Grade 10. All he does is fix his bicycle and his friends' bicycles, and go for bike rides around the city. He asks my dad for money every week, and my dad is getting sick of it. I know that he suffers from depression, but I do too, and yet I have been working since I was 14 years old. What can I say or do to help him? I have already talked to him once, and I told him "You like fixing bikes... so why don't you apply for a job at a bike shop?" And then he lied to my family and said that he got a job at a bike shop. My dad went to the bike shop to drop off some food to him, and the owner said that my brother never worked there. He's already 22 years old.. and I'm worried that he will depend on my dad for a long time.

This is really sad. I hate it when people don't want to bear their responsibilities.

Very sad to hear.. Some people don't like to do job always depends up on some other.. It is not good thing.. Talk with him and stop giving money to him then only he realizes his bad behavior..

it was good of your dad to bring him food, but how hurt he must have felt when he found out.
the problem is what happens if your dad suddenly became unable to financially support him, who will he turn to?
