I Can’t Say “No”

I just returned from my morning walk, showered, and sat down to a nice, hot, cup of coffee and some myLot, when I received a text from my younger son.
He asked if we’d like to go for a walk with him this morning. How could I deny that? It’s a sunny and beautiful day here and a joy to hear his weekend stories and other tidbits. He makes us laugh as well as think.
~The photo is from Google. Our son wants to cage dive with the Great Whites off the coast of South Africa as soon as possible. It’s his life. How can I say, “No!”~

I hope you had a lot of fun, talking a walk with your son. He loves spending quality time with his mom and dad
Cage dive with the Great White sharks off the coast of South Africa? This brings back childhood memories of our family reunions!

Your son looks like quite an adventurous person. He would get a chance to do that dive but might have to wait, at least a few months.
So how was the walk today?

He loves scuba diving and this is on his bucket list. He swam with whale sharks a few years ago and checked that off his bucket list. He knows he won't be going until life is safe once again, but is getting antsy.
The walk was great, but we walked so far and forced my husband to keep up with us. He's not used to it.

@DianneN I'm not a good swimmer - no way I'd scuba dive! Although with a shark cage, I suppose I don't have to fear drowning, but I wouldn't want to look like a chew toy for a shark !
Sounds like your husband got in a good workout .

You won't catch me scuba diving or even going into a cage with sharks!
Thanks! We had a wonderful walk and made my husband walk much further than he had wanted to walk. He doesn't know what's good for him!
I wouldn't be surprised if you have sharks popping up on your coast, too. They were there when we visited!!!

What a nice way to start your day. Enjoy your second walk especially since you'll be in the company of two handsome men
It's beautiful here today too

@DianneN hope you enjoyed your walk and seeing your son. Mask talking can be a bit muffled

@Marilynda1225 Thanks and we did. The mask talking wasn't a problem. I think we are used to it by now.

@nela13 My husband likes shorter walks around the neighborhood and a leisurely stroll in the evening.
Walking isn’t his thing. He prefers working out at the gym or golf, neither of which are opened here. Poor guy.
Right now he’s busy working in the yard, so that’s good exercise for him for now.

@DianneN tell him there are a bunch of underwater propulsion systems on Kickstarter - one called Bixby that is hand held but can pull/push you at 2mph for 30 minutes

That's cool.. Out kids always ask very crazy things.. But as a parent we always encourage their ideas and wishes this is our duty..

People do use you as they know you can not say no, it is a good quality but sometimes harmful.

I wouldn't turn down a walk with my son either, if he was around. I will talk to him today though I think.
