We are on lockdown again from Monday 15th June.

There is a spurt of coronavirus cases in our adjoining village from 1 to 5 to 16 in a matter of a week. The local authority ( Grampanchayat) has decided to impose lockdown in 2 villages ours and the one infected for one week from Monday 15th to 22nd June. Our shop will therefore remain closed during the period.
The infected village has been developed from slums and therefore normal housing development rules are not applicable here. People in surrounding villages are therefore worried that the disease will spread like a wild fire. Let us see how effective this lockdown proves to be.

Has it been already officially declared? It is anticipated that many places showing spikes and uncontrolled increase might go for a lockdown but nothing is officially declared yet. It's unfortunate

@msdivkar yes it helps to a large extent but here people in India don't follow lockdown. Lockdown was for people to stay safe but if they did not follow. It is waste.

In Texas I'm not sure what's going on. I don't know if we're on lock down or not! I'll keep checking the news. One thing I know. Our local news reporters are broadcasting from their own homes.

It's very difficult for everyone because cases are increasing and I guess whole country will be put under lockdown again
