I'm learning Spanish. Who's the teacher? He is my husband.
He said, he would send me to a learning Spanish class only after I had some basics in Spanish.
So, he started by teaching me how to greet, conjugate verbs, count, and ask simple questions in Spanish.
I like the way my husband teaches me. He gives 10 new vocabulary words everyday for me to learn, and also homework.

Spanish is harder to learn than English because of the conjugation of the verb.

Yes, but their spelling makes a lot more sense than English.

it's easier to learn language basics from our family members. I also suggest you speak to your husband only in Spanish. if any mistakes he can correct. Speak to people who know spanish over phone and face to face .
I learnt the same way many languages of my country.
learning to speak is easier but writing and reading takes time and can be done by reading news papers or articles and practising to write .

I had to learn it all on my own with the help of a basic dictionary and a song from the late Spanish singer Nino Bravo.
Everybody has their own way of learning it I found that the classes were not much help when I came here to live as they all spoke so fast and so different the singer Nino Bravo helped me much much more as he sang very clear but beautifully also.
Good luck, buena suerte maja.

@Miss_Leafy
No, he was from Valencia Spain.
It might help if you can get to watch things on the television with spanish subtitles although that did not exist then when I was learning it.
I got a few tips from here and there about pronunciation also its not what they would put into books but from the actual spanish people themselves.
Es porque yo sonaba muy extranjera I sounded like someone British speaking spanish not that that is a bad thing at all they wanted me to sound perfect its just that some of them are like that.

Yes, everyone has his own way to learn language. Learning language from songs is good idea. Is the singer from Philippine?

@Miss_Leafy I speak either English or Japanese depending on the situation. With my family I mix them, which is probably not good for teaching the grandkids to be bilingual.

I used to work in a country where there a lot of people speak Spanish. In the beginning, I didn't know Spanish at all, even only one word. I like to learn that language because I need it for supporting my job there. Day by day, I learned it from my partners in the job. In my opinion, It's not really difficult to learn this language because the pronunciation is easier than English.
Now, I know how to speak a little bit of Spanish without take a Spanish course.
