I believed that some of you know that I am teaching the English language online. It has been 7 years that I am serving this online tutorial company. Lately, the company is changing too much to bear with virtual teachers. They are asking me to have a training online.
As of today, I asked for the details and if it did not work out, I will end my service to them. Besides the point, they had given me a timeframe to finish it until the end of June. If it happens, I am going to hunt a new company to work with.
The only thing that I cannot accept the fact is threatening me with such a condition. They are not professional in all directions. There is no wonder why some virtual teachers left the company.
Have you experienced being threatened by your company?
Do you think it is time to end my service with this company?

Better to stay here until you find another job and then you can leave.

@lovebuglena I agree. No need to worry about, my friend. I have a backup. In fact, I was employed at another company before and I will work with them if I am being terminated.

@Shavkat I guess it is easier to find a job when you are working rather than when you are unemployed. That's what I've been told.

There are so many applicants with this company, Kabsat. Some of them did not last long because of their bad attitudes. I was able to work with them because I just ignore them. However, I cannot endure their way of being unprofessional lately.

@ridingbet Did you know that the company had a mass termination? That is what I am feeling bad about. My younger sister is one of them. At that time, it is was imposed on our country the lockdown.

@Shavkat hmmm, maybe they hired new teachers who are 'kapit sa patalim' that they will not mind if they are degraded by the employers?

I hope I can control the mind of these people in the company. The email that I received from them, they will end my service at the end of this month if I didn't do the training online. It is a threat that I need to take it while looking for a new job. This is how bad they are in managing their virtual teachers.

Try to resolve the issues with your company amicably . Try a middle path that both can agree to. Hope it works and you continue in the present company.

I would look now...before you get canned. It is always easier to find a job when you have one, than wait until you don't to get one.

I got your point, my friend. In fact, I am connected to another company but I am not that active. If things get worse, I can still have this backup. Moreover, I cannot control it if they are going to terminate me. It will be at the end of this month.

I have not experienced that and i dont want to. If you dont like their management anymore then you netter quit. Im sure there are a lot more virtual teaching sites there to apply for.

No, because I know the fact that anytime companies will chuck you out.
I only worked for 1.5 years for companies after that, i went self-employed. I don't like anyone telling me what to do, what time to wake up. You may go self-employed. It may be hard at first, but it is rewarding in the long run.

I agree. I am working as a freelancer with this company. Now, they are acting like I am being held on my neck tightly. I thought that I am going to be the boss of my time. With this said training, I am going to give them another chance. If it did not push through, it's high time to move and find another company.

I didn't know you are teaching English online. With this present predicament, a helpful introspection would be - 'when God closes the door, He opens a window.'

@Shavkat Perhaps the company you were working for was affected by the pandemia. Yes. Search some more and you'll find a job again.

So sorry about what this company is doing to you. Yes, sever your business relations with them. Ditch them! There is a better workplace for yo out there that genuinely cares for people.
Or maybe, I'm just jumping to conclusions.Your English-teaching company may be losing its ties with clients from a major country that are desperate to learn the English language.
I trust that things will get better for you.

Thank you for the encouragement. I finally decide to have a try with this training. Whatever the outcome, I am still going to hunt jobs online. They are really not good in managing people and rude when imposing something on their virtual teachers.

@Shavkat Have these arrogant employers forgotten that because of teachers like you, money pours into their bank accounts? After you've received your pay due to your hard work, say goodbye to them for good!
