So you don't base your ratings on the qulity of their response, just on whether they responded at all? Doesn't that make the rating system just as bogus as one word answers?

I always read all responses to my discussions, rate them and eventually pick a best response. I think everyone should do that. It's not a "discussion" if you don't comment on their response as far as I'm concerned.

I like to rate them too. I think that people who actually put thought into their posts ought to be rewarded and it is my little way of contributing to that idea.

I tend to rate most of the ones I visit but I sometimes forget to do a best response - thanks for the reminder!
