What did you have for dinner last night? I tried something new and really enjoyed it.

I'm still living mostly on eggs, bacon, yogurt, and frozen foods from Safeway. It's been hot out, and my "order out" mojo has been reduced. Instead, I've been enjoying the pool with Horse Jr. until the sun is ready to set.
Recently, I tried yet another Stouffer's frozen meal: a tuna and noodle casserole. I followed the oven directions closely (I don't use a microwave) and it turned out really good! The top was a nice light brown crust, and the tuna and noodles were hot and delicious. For those who do "frozen dinners," Stouffer's is my favorite right now.
What did you have for dinner last night? Have you tried anything "new" recently?

I just realized I didn't eat dinner last night! No wonder I was so hungry when I woke up this morning! I was myLotting yesterday afternoon when my running partner called me and asked if I wanted to go running, which of course I said yes to. We went for a nice long run, and then when I came home I showered and went to bed (my girl was waiting haha). In all that excitement, I totally forgot to eat!

Last night for supper I had leftovers, salmon patties, garlic toast, and okra. Where was Jay? He went to the city for a new corner lamp. Frozen foods, Stouffer's is the best there is. Tuna&noodles is one of my favorite meals! I've never bought it frozen though.

@TheHorse We bought their lasagna one time, because it was buy one get one free. Those trays were large and the lasagna was as good as homemade!

@kobesbuddy I have two or three in my freezer right now (single portions). It has become one of my "default" meals recently.

Stouffer's makes some good stuff. I really like their mac and cheese and their lasagna is the only lasagna I'll eat. Last night's dinner was a frozen pizza I cooked--well, half of it. I plan on eating the other half for lunch today.

We haven't tried anything new but the TV dinners (frozen meals) we have are almost always very acceptable. I keep a couple in the freezer for days when we might be late home or have been too busy to cook or haven't forgotten to take anything out of the freezer.

Heh. That's most of my days right now. It's been hot enough that Horse Jr. and I get home from swimming about about 7:15. I just want something quick and dirty (well, not dirty, but you get the idea) before I do my last bit of writing (here and on my book) before heading to bed. Is "quick and dirty" an expression used Down Under?

I'm always trying "new" things at the end of the week when I have a little bit of this and a little bit of that leftovers. It's still digesting since I ate lunch about 30 minutes ago, but I ran out of cucumbers, and I like to make a shredded cucumber salad. So instead, I had part of a daikon (large white radish), a carrot, and some chingensai (a green leafy vegetable). I shredded the daikon and carrot and cut up some of the stalk part of the chingensai, sprinkled salt and let it sit to get the bitterness out, rinsed and put yogurt with a bit of mayonnaise, and a can of tuna. It was quite nice on a hot day.

@Lignitecityabishek96 They have a green chutney at my restaurant that's a bit spicy. I also enjoy the sweet red chutney. I don't know what area of India this restaurant represents.

Green Chilly Chutney. It's not common everywhere.
Only for the spicy lovers.
Here is the picture of that Green Chilly Chutney.

@m_audrey6788 Do you use soy, or some other salty or fishy sauce? I might try it some time!

That's one of my husband's favorites. I had a bowl of vegetable soup with Ramen noodles. This was new for me. It's from Progresso; and it was good.
