I did a short walk this morning and I see the Banana fruit in my back yard.
I harvest the fruit even though it is not yet ripe.
But I have to because of the Rat might eat them if I can not watch.
I have to keep this for 3 days to ripe the fruit.
How about you, have you taste and eat Banana fruit?

@SHONANA, Some bananas can use but some are not, but the kind that I harvested is not the type one to use for curry. No, I do not use banana for curry, I can use banana in my Humba recipe. Thank you for joining here, have a wonderful day to you.

@SHOHANA , Yes, a cow and a carabao, but I cannot go to the ranch where they stay, 'cause of heavy rainfalls here, anyway, I have a care taker there. Carabao is used in the rice field sometime not all the time, in time if needed only. But the cows I have one here, maybe I will sell this after she deliver her baby, she is pregnant yet. Not easy to have this kind of animals, you need a big fund for them. If possible I don't have a carabao, I can rent from my neighbors here.

How many weeks or months do you allow before you harvest the bananas?

@vilma143 wow, that's a long time. We've got bananas growing by the creek but we have no clue as to when we could harvest. Thanks for the info, Vilma!

When I was a child, my parents had banana trees in their backyard, and I remember going out and harvesting the fruit every time a new bunch grew in. The bananas from that tree did not taste good to eat, but my mom used them to make banana pudding and banana bread, which always tasted wonderful to me.
