my family upgrade their iphones every single time a big new model comes out but they don't do anything more on them than they did ten years ago I'm still on a very basic less than a hundred pound nokia and it does all that I want. The only thing I can see for myself that is different is the camera spec and I rarely take pictures...I've so many cast off old iphones I should sell them

Keep it. You like it, it works. Why create more trash for the earth and spend more money?

@BenWardhana I tell myself that when I see a new version of something I already have. The device I use the most, iPad, I bought in 2014 and it still works just fine. I don't need a shiny new one. I used money I could have spent on that to buy one for my daughter's birthday because she hasn't had one for several years.

@petatonicsca iPad could be great for your daughter's gift. There are many apps to support her study.

Why buy something new if you're happy with what you have?

IPhone is well known popular class phone but i am not fan of it.If its broken and you want to get repaired,it's expensive and not everywhere available of its material. Just based on experienced. Glad to know you got the iPhone, enjoy.

@rhuenz thanks for sharing your experience here. So far i enjoy this iPhone6. Basic function is working very well. I think i can use it for next 2 years, if it's not broken :)

If it does what you need it to do keep it. If the screen issue is a biggie for you change the screen not the whole phone. If you want the newest tech then get a new phone but never be governed by your friends as that is weak in my opinion. In life, do whatever you do for you not because someone says you should. I have a very very basic nokia smartphone but I can call people, text use video call, go on youtube etc etc...it does what I want it to do so I'll keep it. My family all have the big version of the iphone x or 11 not sure, I am the only one on android...I can still keep in contact with them without spending around a thousand pounds on a phone.

@Mike197602 you make the point. I should keep the things that I need instead purchase something that we want. I think my friends like to make comment to my old stuffs. They like to make a joke about it. I have no problem anyway :)

i've never owned an iPhone and it's never been a consideration coz it's just too much cash and then you have to make all those app purchases on top of it. the camera quality is great but in terms of everything else, it's just a phone...i used to upgrade my (Samsung) phone every year, with every new model i'd have to get it until i realised it's never ending! and i don't need to do it. i gave away many good condition phones to family members to accomodate the new upgrade...

@VoluptuousVoyager agree with you, there will be new phone every time and it's so much spending to go all the time with upgrade. Samsung also always have new product and offer new things better than previous version. It's better to save the money :)

If your cellphone still has functions with what you can buy, then you can buy it, it can save you money.
