Jumiyati is her name. I called her bu Jum (ms. Jum).
She was my 1st-3rd grade teacher at Elementary School.
She teach me how to read, and basic math. She also teach Moral Education (at that time the lesson called PMP in Indonesia).
Last time I met her about a year ago, when i had chance back to my hometown, visit her and bring her some cake.
She still remember me. Naughty Ben she recalled, that little boys always try to smuggling snack to the class room. She has a strong memory. She hold my hand all the time in her bed, i can see tear spot in her eyes. Yes Ibu, I still remember you, we still remember you.
Today i got a lot of message from my elementary school class mate.
Bu Jum passed away this morning 04.30AM at the age of 81. She's finally free after 3 years struggle with lung cancer.
Many people grief. Classmate is like family, and this family seems like lost parents.
May the God bless you bu Jum, see you in Heaven...
