The Pool Popped!

Our younger son bought a pool, filter, chloride tablets, and a pool cover for his girlfriend when she comes to visit him at his house.
They spent May and June enjoying it until it popped!
He was able to send it back to wherever he ordered it for a full refund.
The funny thing is that we have the same pool for our grandkids in our basement all boxed up and used once! We plan on donating it for their summertime pleasure before he installs an in ground pool.
Happy July! We are off for a golf game with him and his girlfriend is joining us. We will have a breakfast on the patio supplied by all of us. See you later!

Our portable pool looks the same as that in the picture. We have not used it for more than 5 years.

@DianneN maybe it has some leaks already since it was not used for a long time.

@Alexandoy No, this pool was brand new.
The one I have to give him may indeed have leaks due to age. Pure junk!

No pools can be found now. I'm guessing with kids being home, all the parents ran out and bought them all up.
We will give him the pool stored in our basement. We bought it years ago for the grandkids, and they only used it once.
That will be one less thing that hogs up our basement.

Wished we had this kind of a small pool. My brother made a small huge space but instead he used it to make a pond.

I used to have a pool like that for my grandkids. I heard this morning that any type of kiddie pools are almost impossible to find.
Enjoy your golf game and breakfast!!

I had a pool do that just as we got in and started enjoying it. I think it had to do with the site not being completely level though.

I have the same kind of pool which we place on the roof top. Kids no matter how big they are now, still love to play there.

That's terrible this pool popped, it was no doubt a factory defect. He will think of something else to use, very soon.

@kobesbuddy What a stinker! We always get a few estimates before we hire anyone and check them out at the BBB.

@DianneN And your son was able to get a full refund, that's good news. A man piddled around on our roof for fifteen minutes, for a measly stove pipe. He billed Jay $900 for a service call, which was a royal shafting:( So, what will Jay do about this? He refused to pay this amount, the jerk can sit on his hiney for the rest of his life, waiting for the payment to arrive. When he built a home, Jay gave this guy a discount price on every piece of lumber

That's a wise idea. I'd do the same if I were you. Parents always look out for their kids no matter how much they grow

@DianneN You're correct dear. One must also be blessed o be there for each other in need. It's not always the case. I completely agree with you.

He should install an in ground pool if the house is his. Still, 2 months of happiness with the COVID around is not bad

@DianneN I agree with him. I would rather have fun with a hose in summer than to have beasts infecting me with the virus. Your pool will be fine until the virus is controlled.
