What I like about riding a bike is it can bring me to other places. Now, I cannot do this because of this coronavirus. I had seen some people ride their bikes lately. I do not want to run the risk of doing it. Do you want to run the risk of riding a bike? Image Credit: thumbs.gfycat.com

Did you do it? If you are, then you are my role model.

@Shavkat no, seriously, what's going to happen if you go out riding a bike with mask on?

@aureategloom I will still try to do it, but not now.

I think compare to the public traffic, riding a bike is a safer way. Since the sharing bike is very convenient here, so everyday I ride a bike to work and go home. I also like to ride a bike to go out even if it is very close.

This is also my concern. I am not confident that the enclosed public transport is safe. I haven't used one in my city.

Can you believe that it is very difficult to find bikes here? We went bike shopping the other weekend . . . the bike shops don't have a lot in stock - and apparently it is that way everywhere. Anyway, I do think with masks and being mindful to stay away from big crowded areas, it should be relatively ok.

@Shavkat The bikes had been selling out quickly here . . . so much that the suppliers cannot keep up . . . I am told all the stores are only getting a few new ones per week. Hope you have better luck than us! Being outside, getting exercise and sun is good . . . plus it helps your soul. Yah, just stay away from people!

@much2say It sounds a good business. The only thing that we are worrying about the financial part. This virus is really affecting us on different levels.

You have a point. I haven't checked some shops that sell bikes here. I assumed there are some stocks because the local shops were closed for a long time here in my city. If I will just go to a place with a face mask where it is a little far from the city, it would be safer.

@Shavkat I stopped riding a bike a long time ago. I have a bicycle stepper that I put underneath my computer table and have fun riding that. That means I am inside safe and sound and do not have to be on the road with those that do not wear masks or even bicycle distance.

I think I had seen your bicycle stepper. I was planning to learn how to ride a scooter. Now, it needs to be delayed because of this pandemic.

@Hannihar It is just like a motorbike with a clutch using a handle.

@Shavkat I think I showed it here before. I had too much to deal with last week and will hopefully be quieter next week so can use it again. what kind of scooter do you want to learn?

Driving a bike with a mask is really tough and unhealthy

It could be tough and not safe to ride a bike in a crowded place.

it's still okay riding bike, but still need to do the health protocol. make distance if there is another cyclist in front of you

I don't even own a bike. Haven't been on one in years. We live in a rural area and need to use the car to get where we are going.

I can understand where it is coming from. At some point, I was thinking to buy a scooter since I am living on the mountain. I am not good at riding a motorbike.

That's not how the virus works. It's good to go outside! As long as you're not 'within 6 feet' of anyone else (like I'm sure they were at those 'coronavirus-parties' in America), you're fine.

I do agree that social distancing is the best course of action.

Hmmm, is it Queen's single? "I want to ride my bicycle I want to ride it where I like..." I saw some bikers every morning here. Then again, we don't have any active cases here.

Same thing here. I hope I can do it soon. I am asking some of my friends if they want to ride their bikes, too. It seems that it is not a good idea for them.

@jrlcentral This is also my concern to breathe freely. It is really hard to breathe using it.

@Shavkat maybe you can ride your bike where there is less traffic. Maybe you can use a slightly loose mask so you can breath easily and wear a face shield for extra protection.

I loved riding my bike, but nope, not enough to risk getting the virus. I don’t blame you.

Surely you're not going to get very close to anyone - and you're out in the open air. I think I'd be wearing a mask and continuing to ride.

I also think that way. Is there any rental bikes in your country?
