I am Selling Myself...

Is it double meaning to you? Let me puzzle out, I have been selling myself to my online students for about 7years now. I had portrayed so many characters, such as a clown, a parent, a performer, and so on. Honestly, I do not like teaching kids with the exemption of my nephew and niece. I prefer teaching professional students. However, I need to be a good performer with these kids online. The good thing is that I tested my patience to the extreme limit. Have you ever tried to sell yourself to keep the job, either online or offline? Image Credit: memeguy.com

I don't think I've ever had to do this thank goodness. I guess you get better at it. :)

@LadyDuck Even up to this day, I don't like teaching kids. I just do a good performance level.

I think when you are "working" for others you are already "selling" yourself. Because in the end you need to meet their expectation.

Indeed, my friend. I hope it is not because of having a pleasing personality. However, it happens in the real world.

I am sure it will be hard at first. Eventually, you will enjoy it if seeing your students online is improving.

Selling yourself is very important when your working. You need to show off things that you can do, that way they'll put much value on you

This is an interesting thought I would like to think that I am a person with many roles but I had never thought of selling myself but I think that I do know what you meant.

I am referring to a business context, particularly a sales strategy to attract clients.

I think when I was applying for a job, I was selling myself. What kind of job have you performed online?

@thelme55 It sounds fun if the students are willing to learn the language.

I agree. I still think that they need me and I provide my service. In the end, they still need to pay me.

I tried my best not to feel stress. If these naughty kids are playing while having a class online, I just ignored them.

I always think that it is not for everybody. I have been teaching more than years aside from doing it online. So I had developed the skills of teaching.
