Two friends in our garden

I haven’t been here much today as we had a niece and her husband visit for lunch and they left just a short while ago. It was good to see them. The husband was keen to show Vince his new camera. Vince took some portrait shots of the pair of them. Our niece didn’t want to smile properly as she has a front tooth missing. It is not in the very front but she is quite conscious of it. Vince was able to ‘doctor’ the photo and place a very natural-looking tooth in the cap. They hadn’t been gone long when a roo appeared in the garden. She had to share the grass with a rabbit. However, nice as the photo is, the two aren’t quite as close together as they appear.

What a nice picture, they seem to go so well together, no fights, they eat and enjoy their day.

I wish we humans could get along as lovely as the roo and rabbit in your picture. Nice Vince knows how to "doctor" pictures to make them look nicer.

I get on his case if he changes them too much but in this instance I was glad he was able to do it.

@JudyEv As skittish as rabbits are, I'm surprised that it stayed around.

They are probably not as close as they appear but neither bothered the other.

I've seen a young joey and a rabbit touch noses once. I guess they each see the other as non-threatening.

Happy your niece was able to come by. :-) That is a great photo. Neither one seems bothered by the other. Is a kangroo in the family?

It's not a pet if that is what you mean. We often have roos this close or even closer but they're quick to leave if we go outside.

@FayeHazel The wild rabbits are generally considered a pest here. Kangaroos are very hard to tame unless they are hand-reared from a young age.

@JudyEv Wow up close! Oh whups, I see my error, it was supposed to ask if the rabbit and kangroo are in the same family of animals... Do people tame them?

That is a nice and amazing picture. The rabbit does appears to be "close" to the Kangaroo. So is Vince expert in using a photo editor?

@JudyEv I was actually referring to Vince doing something about the "tooth" in the photograph.

They were both feeding together although you can see the roo is slightly on the other side of the rise. He hasn't 'added' one or the other.

I responded yesterday and my comment has gone. Denise was complaining about this happening too. However, be that as it may, I recall that I said I thought Vince could give you a short back and sides. lol

We get a friendly rabbit once in awhile. Actually saw one in my yard today. I guess the Roos could not make it so the bunny settled sharing my grass with a Robin. Seems like Kangaroos in your yard is the same as birds in mine

I think in some ways our roos equate to your deer. They can be a nuisance to some but others love them. It would have been nice to see the rabbit and robin together.

@dgobucks226 In the office, I have my camera next to me as I look out on the birdbath. But now it's so cold, we use our laptop/Mac in the lounge so we're probably missing some good shots.
