July 18 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I just finished watching a very good movie. If you have Netflix, I highly recommend The Patriot starring Mel Gibson.
It's been a very good day.
I'm thankful for the fact it didn't get as hot as they said, at least I didn't see temps going above 86 F with a heat index of 92 F.
I'm thankful for the sleep I got last night, over 7 hours. I won't get that tonight. Guaranteed.
I'm thankful the heat did keep my appetite in check. I didn't have much to eat, but I did drink 5 bottles of water. I said I would likely float to bed tonight.
I'm thankful for the time I was here today. I accomplished a lot and got the notifications finished.
I'm thankful for my life. I am who I am today because of all I've been through in my lifetime. Tomorrow I start a new chapter in my life and I wonder what that chapter will hold.
I'm thankful for my children and grandchildren. They mean the world to me, even though I don't see them often and don't live close.
I'm thankful God has a huge place in my life. Without Him, I know my life would be very different.
There are so many things to be thankful for, I cannot list them all. So many blessings and you are part of my blessings. Thank you for being part of my life.
That's what I'm thankful for today. How about you? What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. My children and grandchildren and daughter-in-law to be.

The Patriot sounds familiar to me. I think I have seen it already.
We have a lot to be thankful of. I am thankful that I have a peaceful life but sometimes, I get annoyed from people I know who kept on talking and making stress about the virus. I don't watch the news anymore.

Look at the bright side: people back in the 70s spent a lot of money on waterbeds. You get one just by drinking a gallon of water!
What am I thankful for? A safe trip, the incredible beauty I saw, and air conditioning. Wow, it was a scorcher today.
Have a blessed evening, and hope your birthday is terrific!!!!

I was grateful to hear that I have been accepted at a site where I can possibly earn a little supplemental income through content writing. It will be writing mostly for other people's blogs. I'm spending the weekend checking out their guidelines and looking at some of the accepted material. I haven't done this before so I'm a little intimidated. But the client either buys what I write or they don't. Can't get fired! lol

@just4him Thanks, Valerie. Not used to disciplining myself anymore, so it should be a challenge.

The Patriot may be a good movie but it is terrible as far as historical fact goes.

I didn't notice the terrible historic fact. Other than the Revolutionary War, I think the movie itself was mostly fiction. Though I'm certain if General Cornwallis had won that war, it would have been shown as a win for him instead of a defeat.

I think I did hear about this movie earlier. I have not watched it, but it could be next on my list.
The image above looks cool.
Is it a recent photograph, or an old one?

I love that you are thankful for both the big and small things in your life. I think it's the small things in life that truly help define who we are. And that's the things most people overlook.
Oh, and I didn't forget....HAPPY BIRTHDAY Valerie!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day and a great birthday celebration!
