My co-worker just bought a kilo of water apple. It is a tropical watery fruit. The price is $1 per kilogram. She shared her fruits for us in the office.

The water apples look similar to ordinary apples except for the brown colour . Do they taste similar to ordinary red coloured apples? Why are they called water apples ?
