Ever See Your Outfit on Someone Else?

That's crazy. Too bad Lynn couldn't follow her own instructions.We went to Boston with 3 other couples and the kids for a weekend. The guys watched the kids while we ladies went shopping. I remember walking into one shop and reaching for a folded top, when out shot 3 other hands for the same top. It was almost a tug of war! I let it go when I saw gold sparkle flats. They came running. Since then, I refuse to go shopping with friends. The same thing happened with my two best friends. No can do.

@kobesbuddy Well, it's all long over now. Unfortunately, I had one "friend" who I had to dump. She bought a jacket I bought, but left it hidden in her trunk. My friend told me, so I told her not to feel bad and get it out of her trunk. (We were playing racquetball and then going out to lunch.) Then, back in the day, I bought a white string bikini and wore it to our beach club. That stinker bought the exact same one. A mutual male friend told me not to worry - that I looked better. lol And to top it all off, she bought a black outfit with rhinestones on the shoulder top, a white skirt and top like mine, and a mink coat (shhhhhh) like mine from the same furrier. I stopped talking to her then. That did it. I may sound petty, but there is a form of flattery and then there is a sickness. We ran into them last summer when out to dinner with friends. We didn't even say hello.

@DianneN With Lynn, I had no idea she bought that skirt, until we returned to the bus. I showed mine to someone and Lynn said, 'Hey, I bought that same skirt!' Her defensed rose up.

It did when it was from a famous person. Not so much when at a party or when friends run out and buy the same thing. I’m looking for that pretty new dress you are planning to wear to church tomorrow.

You are so wise! I bring my Florida clothes to Connecticut and my Connecticut clothes to Florida. . I loved that show and am so glad you saw it, too. The dress I had that Linda Evans wore was for a very special occasion, but she wore hers to an every day dinner in her house.

@thelme55 Her clothes were gorgeous on the show. I should watch it in German, too. . You should be proud of yourself for speaking at least 3 languages. I would be mute if no one spoke English. Have a wonderful trip tomorrow and lots of fun! When will you return to us?

@DianneN That sounds good. I love that show too. It was my everyday tv show here in Germany. It was also the time I got to learn a lot of German words. . I still remember that I bought a blue dress with Linda Evans style. It was nice.

I didn't have a sister, but never did it with my friends.

Trust me, it's embarrassing especially when everyone tells you that you are wearing the same dress as so and so.

I don't think celebrities like wearing the same dress when out together either.

That's how I feel when my friends run out and buy the same things after seeing me, but it does bother me. I would never do that to them.

@Michellekidwell I used to wear hand-me-downs from an older cousin and loved her clothes.

@DianneN Lol, maybe it’s because I grow up exchanging clothes with my cousins lol. My cousin Lisa whose older used to bring her sister and I the cutest clothes.

I think that's hilarious! It proves you are all individuals with your own color preferences. When I was at that party wearing the same dress as someone else, I can't begin to tell you how many people pointed that out to me. I finally went up to that woman and told her that we both had good taste in clothing and her dress looked great on her.

@Janet357 I alike so many designers, but Chanel, Prada, and Robert Rodriguez are among my all time favorites. All different looks which suit my moods.
