It’s Not a Day for a Coat!

Thank you! I was reading Scarred all afternoon out on my new bench. It's never too hot for me.

@DianneN All afternoon? You must be really into it. Yes, for you never too hot, for me almost never too cold. I couldn't breathe yesterday with as hot and humid as it was when I stepped out the door.

@DianneN It seems that you will not be able to go back to Florida soon, according to the news.

@marguicha I don't care what the news says. We decided once we were back here not to return any time soon until this virus is long gone.

@DianneN Yes, and pay for it!!! lol. Some places don't have great AC. If it is super hot here, the AC struggles to keep up. At least I think tomorrow will be the last of the really hot days, if it gets hot again, the late in the summer heat waves aren't as bad.

@snowy22315 Our humidity is pretty low, but we will have 90s for the week I believe. I know how expensive a/c is for most people. I hope you get cooler weather.

You can go into a/c! I spent most of the afternoon reading Valerie's book outside on my new bench under a tree. It wasn't bad at all. I wouldn't say that if the humidity was higher.

@DianneN for clothing black is my first choice and If I talk about my favorite color, it is red and maroon. Red is my all time favourite color.

@LadyDuck I've been having so many errors on here since last Friday and am sick of it! I just took a break from the madness to visit the kitties and then decided to weed a little bit. I felt the sun burning into me. It's so strong. And here I am once again! Stay cool and relax.

@simone10 It's all relative. My son and hubs consider 60% humid. The sillies.

It was only humid here one day. I don’t like high humidity either.

@DianneN Love that show. Erin and Ben have been to the resort my husband works at. They are a cute couple.

We only had one day of true mugginess, but more will be here for sure. I watch a show on HGTV sometimes that takes place in Laurel, Mississippi. It looks so beautiful there, but the workers are always so sweaty. Thanks!

@aninditasen Not at all. It's not heavy weigh wise. It's down and rather soft and light. What I meant by heavy is that it is warm against the fridge cold.

@DianneN I love down coats. When I worked in a Thrift Shop here a very nice down coat just happened to come in the day I was working and I bought it. It is big on me now, but, I still love it. They also have down jackets here too.

@nela13 It was a down coat and very warm. Thanks. When an effective and safe vaccine comes out, and the virus is gone, we will return. I miss our little paradise down there and Orville, too!

I never complain about the heat! I saw a movie that took place in a Canadian winter last night, I believe it was in Ontario, and hubs and I looked at each other and said, "Nah!" Enjoy the heat!!!!

@DianneN I actually love a winter scenery . . . and I like being in it - for maybe 2 seconds . I used to like "cold" during my rink days - but maybe because I was there every day and got acclimated to that environment. But not anymore. I would normally want to be barefoot all day - but I just want socks on my feet - even when I go to sleep - and I absolutely hate a draft when going to sleep. It's very toasty outside, but it's comfortable inside (I will be working outside in a few though). Right - it's a travel dent at the moment. Right now we watch the travel shows and dream .

@much2say I think those ice skating days finally got to you! I can't stand even watching a competition. It's like a meat locker. Enjoy the rest of your day and stay warm and snuggly. It's time for dinner here.

I'm sure we will have much worse weather coming up, but as you said, I'd rather be toasty warm than in bitter cold. I remember your trip in January when you got sick. I can dress properly to keep warm, but it's the entire package of snow, ice, freezing winds, gray skies, bare trees, etc. that is nasty, nasty, nasty! At least you live in the best climate one can live in. I've had my share of travel, but the virus and terrorism has put a huge dent in the places I still want to visit. It's a big, beautiful world we live in.

@DianneN I wish we have weather like there where this coat is good to wear but it not look possible now and yes it's very warm.

Me, too. That’s why I love Florida so much. Hot sun, cool breeze off the ocean.
