Due to the present situation of Corona and overall slowdown people are not getting work and many are already kicked of their jobs or they are working at 50 % earnings which does makes things really difficult. That's why we should try to save money as much as we can and try to spend on basic necessities only and other things which we like to do but they are not very important can wait because we never know what tomorrow will bring. Are you also saving money and not spending on any unnecessary things and just on basic necessities these days?

People have already started doing that. We can see it in our dwindling sales. The savings people had have been spent in initial period of lockdown thinking that the situation is going to be short lived but they have now realised that it has come to stay with us for long.

@msdivkar Many retail businesses as well as Real Estate are still down. So many people are short on money. Alternate earning is often not enough. So that's why many tend to save more.

My company stopped paying saying company Clients are not paying them. And clients production is also impacted. Though our firm said we won't be removed from the job. We didn't get the payment of 2 months May and June. Though rest all are good. Only thing is Bank have started the recovery of loans. We did saved our salary but now it's time. We are hoping firm opens up and hire us for something again

Everyone needs to live frugally now. It's a pity some didn't save a bit more while they had the chance and before the virus.

I'm trying to be careful with how much I spend. Thankfully, my husband is an essential worker and is working full time. So, it's nice to know that we have his income. But we do want to be careful nonetheless.

We try to lessen spending on other things but to be honest its all been towards what we eat and basic necessities. If it wasn’t food we were spending on, its more for the kids upcoming online classes. But I have been saving as well because it doesnt hurt to save for another rainy day.

I don't think I ever wasted money on buying unnecessary things but yes I used to buy the necessary items in excess. For example, I used to get some new game for my kid every month, a new kurta for me every month and of course some accessories to go with it... So these aren't unnecessary things but still could be avoided and now I'm doing it because I'm forced to
