While having my online class, I can hear the local news. A barber was interviewed. He said, 'I am not going to die with COVID-19, I will die with hunger.' He needs to work instead of staying at home. I can feel his concern because of this virus.
How would you feel if hearing this one?

I agree. There is a statement that my president said, 'I don't care about the rich people if they can have the vaccines or not.' I can feel that he wants to relay the message to them. In fact, some of them had shared with the locals and others are not.

I agree with the barber.
People will stay at home if they receive enough cash assistance and relief goods. In other countries, people are actually given financial aid. Here in the Philippines, the corrupt government officials used the CoViD-19 funds for their own personal gain. Imagine, we loaned all that money and now officials are saying that we do not have enough funds.
Where did all that money go?

@Shavkat these people got rich at our expense.
We continue paying the debt and they continue getting rich.

At this point in time, I stopped paying my PhilHealth. I need to know what's going on. If I keep on paying them, then these corrupt people will just steal them.
In my points of view, we really do not have funds since the Marcos regime. They had borrowed money from the World Bank and it was trillions of dollars. Now, the current government asked for money again. Then, what happened?

@allen0187 That's why I need to stop paying PhilHealth. They need to clear up the issue first.

That is the difference between rich and poor when faced with the Covid-19 pandemic. Rich people can stay alive even though they can't work for a while because they still have savings. While ordinary people will not be able to last long if they do not work, because they do not have savings in the bank.

@Shavkat rich can be richer because of the resources they have. They have invest more because they have money. And the poor are working for money and if there is no work then no income.

@jvincent_129 That's the sad story for poor people. I hope that we can cope up with the current problem.

Yes. We have to realized that. That is why the government here can not off the economic activity, especially for the lower income
