A Rainy Day

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's a rainy day here in my little corner of the myLot world. As long as it isn't the storm we had on Tuesday I can deal with a bit of rain. I'm hoping though that it doesn't add to the flooded areas in surrounding townships.
My daughter went to work today so it's just me and the pups.
Gizmo had a follow-up with the vet yesterday afternoon and his torn ligament isn't much better. This wasn't the news I was hoping to hear but I know it will take weeks for healing. From what I've heard it can take up to 8 weeks and this is only week 2. Poor old guy. So we'll continue with what we've been doing with the hopes of better news on his next follow-up in 2 weeks. He's 12 years old now so I guess he won't bounce back quickly.
I can't think of much else to talk about right now.
Maybe after I have my coffee inspiration will hit

That's the hard part of dealing with an older pet (or even human), is that our bodies don't heal as fast as they do when we're younger. I hope the Gizmo continues to heal, even if it's a slow process.

Being "old" myself I can sympathize with him and his torn ligament. My knees are shot so I hobble around 99% of the time too

The sun is shining today and we are going to have a lovely day weather wise. Tomorrow we may get more rain. The wells are happy!
Sorry that Gizmo isn't healing as fast as you'd hoped he would.

Gizmo is the most docile dog and is happy to rest. I just hope he doesn't get too used to being carried in and out of the house when he feels better. The vet said if he was a bigger dog he would have needed surgery but I guess his size and age play a part too.

Aw poor pooch. Hope he's better very soon.
We didn't get too much rain Tuesday and never lost power thankfully. But the boyfriend lost it for about 24hours.

I'm just enjoying a cup of coffee on my lunch break now.
Its a sunny day here, but it looks cool out, our a/c is turned off and its only 23C in here, so very comfortable.
I feel bad that you are watching Gizmo trying to recover from this injury.
I just did a quick search to see if there are any home remedies for this type of an injury in a dog, it looks like you are doing everything. I hope that he turns the corner and begins to show improvement soon.

Thanks for your concern about Gizmo. He's a trooper and doesn't complain. He's happy all the time so it's sad seeing him struggle to hobble around. My daughter carries him in and out of the house so he doesn't have to use the stairs and I guess it will just take time for him to heal.

He can walk but hobbles on three legs. The vet doesn't want him to do stairs, jump or do any long walks.He's better off resting which he loves. He's snoring right now

Greetings to you my friend. We in my country are very tired of rains and hurricanes this year. This is the first year in my life when it rains so much. And the other part of my country is suffocating from fires

I'm sorry to hear that some parts of your country is getting too much rain while other parts have wildfires. We basically have the same weather here. 2020 certainly has been a crazy year
