When I went to a bank yesterday, a young man was asked not to enter. The reason is that he is wearing a valve-type face mask. I had researched this before, it is not really advisable. That's why it is confusing. How about at your place? Do they still allow this type of face mask? Image Credit: cf.shopee.ph

i think that face mask is not allowed, right? the one with a valve. for me, my son bought a 3-for-P100 mask and that was what i used. the disadvantage though is, it is thick that i cannot breathe freely. hahaha! it also looks like the brassiere.

This is what I had seen in the bank. I am still using washable face masks. I cannot use that mask you had mentioned. I cannot breathe with it.

@Shavkat the problem with my sister is, she washes the disposable face masks. i saw 3 of these surgical masks hanging dried in the bathroom with her underwear. i told my son about that and he said she should throw the mask since these are for single use only.

I have 3 different masks but none with a valve. I am not sure whether it is prohibited here.

I am not sure why the security guard had said this to this young man. I haven't seen any news about this in your country. I assumed that they had read something or the bank had this directive.

I have seen a few people wearing them, but the most common are the traditional ones! Don't have any idea whether the valve-type ones are better or not!

It was said that it is not a good idea to use the valve-type. You can check this out.

That's what I am puzzled about. I haven't seen any news about it here in my country. Although I had seen a write-up that it is not an ideal one. I had this discussion before.

I think it is not really allowed because the effectiveness is being questioned by the experts.
